Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data AdaptiveIQ collects, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices you have over your information.

Last updated: 6 July 2026

1.Overview

AdaptiveIQ (“AdaptiveIQ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides AI-powered product-image scoring and optimization tools for online stores. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, app, and services (together, the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

This policy applies to store owners and staff who create an AdaptiveIQ account and connect a store. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2.Information we collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash). If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, we receive your basic profile and email from that provider.

Store and product data

When you connect your Shopify store, we access - with your authorization - product details, images, variants, collections, and related metadata so we can analyse and optimize your catalogue. We also generate and store optimized images, alt text, SEO names, and AI-generated media associated with your products.

Billing information

Payments are processed by Shopify through the Shopify Billing API. We never see or store your card details — no payment information reaches our servers. We retain the identifier of your Shopify app charge, your plan, subscription status, and billing-cycle usage so we can manage your subscription and credits.

Usage and device data

We collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, actions taken in the app, and timestamps, which we use to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3.How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and operate the Service, including analysing images and generating optimized media and metadata.
  • Sync changes between AdaptiveIQ and your connected store.
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, and track generation-credit usage.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure (including sending one-time login codes).
  • Send transactional emails such as verification, receipts, and product notifications.
  • Monitor performance, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve our features and models.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4.AI and automated processing

A core part of the Service uses artificial intelligence to analyse your product images, score them, and generate new images, video, alt text, and copy. To do this, your product images and related text may be sent to third-party AI providers (for example, OpenAI and Replicate) strictly to perform the requested processing.

AI-generated output can be inaccurate or imperfect. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing it to your store. We do not use your store's images to train our own foundation models, and we ask our AI subprocessors to process your content only to deliver the requested results.

5.How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers (“subprocessors”) that help us run the Service, and only to the extent necessary. These include:

  • Shopify - to connect to and sync with your store.
  • Shopify - to process app charges and manage subscriptions through the Shopify Billing API.
  • OpenAI and Replicate - to perform AI image, video, and text generation and analysis.
  • Cloudflare R2 - to store generated images and media.
  • Email delivery providers - to send transactional and account emails.
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers - to run our application, database, and queues.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in how your data is handled.

6.Data retention

We retain your account and store data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you disconnect your store or close your account, we delete or de-identify associated data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, accounting, or security purposes.

7.Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashing of passwords, encryption of stored access tokens, access controls, and session-inactivity timeouts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your information.

8.Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update your profile in the app, disconnect your store at any time, or contact us to exercise any of these rights. We will respond in line with applicable law.

9.International data transfers

We and our subprocessors may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

10.Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure your session, and understand how the Service is used. Essential cookies are required for the app to function; others help us improve the product.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working properly.

11.GDPR and UK data protection

If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we process your personal data under lawful bases including performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, your consent (where applicable), and compliance with legal obligations.

You have the rights described in the “Your rights and choices” section above, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise your rights or ask about our data practices, contact us using the details below.

12.Children's privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
